Recreation
		Lakeside Gardens offers a wide variety of activities in its recreational program. Under the guidance of our Activities Coordinator, residents choose optional activities at their leisure. There is an exercise program and/or fitness centre, Shuffleboard, darts & billiards as well as Dominoes, Scrabble and all card games. A very active Progressive Bridge club and weekly Bingo group are two of our more popular activities.

		The Lakeside library maintained by our residents, features computers with Internet access. Instruction on computer use is available upon request.
	Residents may participate in on-going community service programs, such as knitting toques for preemie babies and cancer patients at the Regional hospital, blanket squares for community programs, and a variety of other "helping" activities.
	Local entertainment is provided regularly and many special occasions are also celebrated. Canada Day at Departure Bay
		The Lakeside Gardens complimentary 18 passenger bus not only takes residents to medical appointments and church - but outings and day trips are arranged throughout the year.
